Finally, movie time with the real bae!

The LA Dog Film Festival just finished its third edition and everything about it was perfect. The June festival was first started up in 2014 in New York and due to its sheer popularity, will be making its way to LA now. The goal of the festival is to ‘educate about adoption, pet wellness issues, and philosophical aspects of pets in our lives.’

The festival is more than a hit as the number of attendees have been steadily increasing over the years. The Los Angeles event boasted not only two programs that patrons could attend but also an afternoon tea on June 4 complete with a ‘green carpet’ and celebrity guests (both two and four-legged). But it’s the films that were screening on June 5 that ultimately drew the crowd. The festival showcased an array of films documentaries, commercials and short narrative films. Films were separated into several categories to cater to different tastes.

Apart from films, the festival had a ‘Think Adoption First’ on-site adoption platform, The highlight was probably the jazzy Pooch Party, which included a doggy fashion show, photo opportunities, meet and greets with celebrity dogs and special ‘sWag bags’.

The best part about the festival is that it is going to be held in various cities such as Seattle, Chicago, San Diego and Kansas City. The festival is the perfect for a day out with your family, and yes that includes your pooch.
