Swedish artist Eric Prydz is known for his astonishing stage productions, his artistic abilities and legend status. But turns out there’s more to the artist than just the music.
Recently, Yardley Yeti, a fan of the artist, took to Reddit to share his fears of never getting to see his favourite artist play live after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He even hoped to make it to the artist’s epic 5.0 show in LA in the new year.
Thanks to the power of the internet, the fan got his wish fulfilled. The news of his story spread like wildfire, even reaching Prydz’s people themselves who were quick to reply with the good news. Not only will Prydz be playing an LA show in the fan’s honour on January 1st but the DJ will also be throwing him his own personal show before Christmas.
Ecstatic on receiving the call, the fan was quick to share his reaction, “I donβt honestly know how to put the following into words. Itβs unbelievable. So I got an email today from Ericβs manager asking for my number and got a call today. As you all know Eric isnβt much of a flyer so it would be hard for him to get him onto the East Coast soon. So they offered me to see him in LA January 1st! Already crazy.”
It wasn’t long before the fan received a call with even more good news.Β “Not even 30 minutes later he calls back and tells me, ‘So I talked to Eric and the rest of the team and we want to throw you your own personal LA show. ALL tickets sold will go to the charity of your choosing.’ They’re flying me out. Getting me a hotel room. And it looks like weβre going to have another LA show before Christmas that the team will be posting about shortly. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. THE LOVE FELT TODAY WAS OUTSTANDING. THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD.”
