Jack Ü is taking a break, and that’s just breaking our hearts.

It’s been a while since we heard from Jack Ü, the collaborative title under which Diplo and Skrillex made some pretty amazing music. The last time they recorded music together was for their Grammy award-winning debut album ‘Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü’. Their track ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Justin Bieber, even won them a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

But, it looks like we will have to wait longer for the boys to unleash any new compositions to their fans. The reason being – Diplo is too busy focusing his energies on Major Lazer. While speaking on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, he said, “We have a lot of records we wrote together, me and Skrillex, but I don’t think it’s time to put those out now.” He also went on to say, “I’m just trying to concentrate on the Major Lazer material.

Infact, Diplo was on the show to promote Major Lazer’s latest track with Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR called ‘Run Up’. You can listen to the whole interview on iTunes, right here.

If you are surprised by this announcement, do remember that Skrillex had hinted that about their break when he posted a tweet last year stating the same, though the tweet has since been deleted.

We are not happy with this news and really hope the guys get together soon. Jack Ü is a gem we simply can’t get enough of.
