Coldplay! Are they coming to India or not? Well, we might have an answer.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock since the past couple of months, you know that there have been numerous rumours about Coldplay coming to Mumbai on November 19th to perform at BKC. But now, there has been official confirmation by people at Creative Mindset.
According to sources, the Coldplay visit is going to be part of the Global Citizen program which is an initiative by Chris Martin. The event is slated to have many influential celebrities from the Hindi film industry like Amitabh Bachchan, AR Rahman, Deepika Padukone among many more. Though what made us sit up and take notice was the mention of Jay-Z supposedly coming to the city with them!
According to an article by Mid-Day, the tickets are slated to go online on Book My Show between September 12th and 15th. And wait for this, the tickets are supposedly going to be priced between INR 25,000 to INR 5 lakhs! Yikes. And the entire proceedings that will be collected are going to be donated to the Global Citizens Poverty Project.
It goes without saying that not everybody will be able to afford the tickets if they’re priced so high. Let’s just hope that there’s a more reasonable category for fans that are dying to see the band.
Until then, just hope that all these rumours bear fruit. That’s the best we can do right now!
