Techno guru Carl Cox to debut his own festival dubbed Pure, in Sydney.
With the current slump in the Australian music festival industry and the police crackdown on drug abuse at the festivals, times are looking grim for organizers. Amidst all this, renowned UK Techno and house-music DJ Carl Cox has announced a touring festival, Pure, which will kick off in Sydney at the Hordern Pavilion, on April 23 and later in Melbourne on April 24.
“Italian talent Joseph Capriati, Chunky hitmakers Format:B, Adelaide Hero DJ HMC (aka Late Night Tuff Guy) and Eric Powell will all be joining Carl Cox on stage at Pure this April. In Sydney there’ll be added support from Murat Kilic and Mantra Collective, while Mike Callendar and Scott Freedman both join the line-up in Melbourne.”
