Ah, long weekend! Those two words will bring any Canadian at ease. And yet, we’re blessed to have one every month during the summer. And with these ample long weekends come events that are here to make sure everyone has plans, and can spend the rest of the week recovering instead. That brings us to the approaching long weekend; Canada Day. With 3 days to yourself, Toronto has made sure you don’t have a day of those sitting at home.

Two iconic Toronto music festivals take place this weekend; and we’ll give you reasons to attend both!

Electric Island – Canada Day

The iconic techno festival that happens several times over the summer on the Toronto islands is back this Canada Day. A true people-pleaser event that has steadily managed to increase its audience year-by-year, event-by-event; Electric Island amalgamates all the features and entertainment you’d want to see in a music festival. Coupling a consistently praised line-up with an atmosphere that you’re at a picnic, with food trucks and ping pong to spark interest in any of your senses; Electric Island gives the audience more than what they paid for, every single time. This year featuring a lineup of Tale of Us, Ben Klock vs. Marcel Dettman, Apollonia, Honey Dijon and more, we highly recommend you purchase a ticket (or season pass) if you haven’t already and set sails to the island this Friday.
