This spooky festivalΒ is perfect for fans of horror and EDM alike.

The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne is lending their abandoned ballroom to Melbourne Music Week for this year’s much anticipated edition. For fans of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and Session 9, the abandoned corridors and high ceilings of the hospital are a creepy nightmare come true.

Melbourne Music Week’s flagship edition will feature many great acts, including the headlining acts –Β Eric Duncan, Monolake and Cobblestone Jazz.

The festival’s website released this post about their new venue just in time for Halloween,Β β€œMMW is respectfully repurposing the basement, its maze of surrounding abandoned offices, kitchens, plant and steam rooms, as a place for dancing once more for this year’s event. Retrofitting with lighting and sound, the existent parquetry floors will also be restored.”

MMW sounds pretty exciting so far. The festival hits Royal Women’s Hospital on November 13 to 20. Keep tabs on The Sherp for further news.
