This is really sad news.

One of the main pioneers of trap music, California duo Flosstradamus, have announced that they will officially split up for an indefinite time. The news was announced via social media by one of the members of the group, Josh Young a.k.a DJ J2K.

With big-time hits that include an original remix of Major Lazer’s hit song “Original Don”, the duo,Β consisting of DJs J2K (Josh Young) and Autobot (Curt Cameruci), have made a name for themselves by treating trap music fans to a number of hit songs. They even take their place among top artists like Diplo when it comes to the genre.

The split is a result of Josh Young’s desire to pursue his solo side project titled Me2. However, Curt has announced that he will continue to make music under the Flosstradamus name.

The news comes as a shock to Trap fans as the duo have been on a roll in recent times. With their latest tour being a runaway success, the release of their brand new label, their successful fan movement- Hdynation as well as their massive influence in electronic music; fans are still processing the news.
