Ticket holders boarding flights to Exumus were told to go home!

With all the hype and excitement surrounding the launch of the brand new Fyre festival, ticket holders had raised expectation and much anticipation burning up! Turns out all that eagerness soon turned into sheer and utter disappointment. Due to chaos and lack of planning, the festival was cancelled after attendees having reached the venue while others were on their way!

The festival first hit the news when celebrity personalities and Victoria Secret models like Kendell Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, and Bella Hadid posted Instagram pictures showing off the location’s posh offerings. But as we all know, the glamour ain’t cheap! Tickets ranged between $4,000 to $12,000 which also included charted flights from Miami to the secluded and private villas as well as access to luxurious yachts.

Organized by Ja Rule and Billy McFarland’s Fyre Media company, the festival even boasted of a line-up that included Major Lazer, Disclosure, Skepta, Kaytranada and Rae Sremmurd. Not to mention artists from Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music too!

However, things took a bad turn with news first hitting that Blink-182 cancelled their performance. Check out their tweet below:

Festival attendees then went on to share their disgust and disappointment as the posh amenities they were promised turned out to be far less appealing than excepted.

The first people to arrive shared their frustration, soon after which incoming flights were cancelled. Passengers on an already boarded flight were even told to go home!

Ticket holders were left in an utter state of confusion causing outrage with many lashing out on multiple social media platforms!

Fyre Festival posted an official explanation via their Instagram page.

Finally, with all the confusion, the organizers decided to call ti quits and cancel the fest. Guess, the fest ain’t gonna be the new Coachella as it seemed to promise!
