In the wake of the rising demand for ‘tunak tunak’ at last year’s edition of Tomorrowland, organizers are seriously considering setting up a special stage for the Belgian festival.

The Bollywood bug has seemingly made it’s way across to Europe, as sources have revealed that the world’s most popular music festival has succumbed to the growing demand for Bolly tunes at the gathering, and a stage filled with some of our front runners will be set up just for the large Indian contingent that attends this festival year after year.

We spoke to Arvind Van Bhushan, a Tomorrowland artist scout earlier, (who was assigned with the task of signingΒ some of the best Bollywood DJs) and here is what he had to say Β –

“We’re only giving the people what they want. Everybody wants to get their tunak-tunak on”

Last year, Indian audiences were taken aback by deadmau5 dropping Daler Mehndi’s chartbusting single ‘tunak tunak’ and the mau5 man has apparently spearheaded the petition towards setting up a special Bolly stage with the likes of Daler Mehndi, YOYO Honey Singh, DJ Chetas, Hard Kaur, BOHEMIA, Atif Aslam and many more already locked down to perform with Baba Sehgal taking up the role of stage MC. Check out his outstanding rhyme skills below:

International artists have also decided to make special appearances on this scintillating stage and some insane b2b’s are scheduled to take place:

Deadmau5 b2b Daler Mehndi (DJ set)

Drake b2b Yo Yo Honey Singh (exclusive rap battle)

DJ Chetas b2b Tube & Berger (special violin performance)

and many more!

Stay tuned to the Sherp for more scoop on the same.
