Bieber Fever! Here's What To Expect At Bieber's India Concert...

Justin Bieber’s Purpose India Tour is right around the corner and we thought it’d be best to give you a heads up on what to expect at the concert.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber is set to bring the BIEBS fire to India when he brings the exceptional landmark live production JIO Justin Bieber Purpose World Tour by White Fox India next week. The Canadian singer will take the stage at the D.Y. Patil Stadium, Mumbai on May 10^th, to an elated and packed crowd.

Here’s what you need to keep in mind before the date of the concert arrives.

Some general information so that you don’t get stranded in the madness:

1- Doors open at 2pm and the performance begins at 4pm. If conditions permit, doors will open earlier. If so this will be communicated on all White Fox Social Media Platforms – Twitter, Instagram and Facebook– so please keep an eye out for live updates.

2- Avoid main road congestion close to show time by arriving early

3- Professional photography is not permitted at the concert. Mobile phones are permitted.

4-In order to beat main road traffic, arrive early at the venue.

5- Please bring cash with you as ATM’s are limited

6- This is an outdoor concert so do dress appropriately and lather on the sunscreen. Closed, comfortable shoes are a must.

7- Children below 12 years will not be permitted inside the venue

8- This is a wrist-band access festival. In case wrist-bands are taken off, a replacement wrist-band will not be issued. Please carry valid photo ID for verification of the ticket holder name along with your e-ticket print out.

9- No re-entry is permitted for the entire period of the event. Wrist bands will be cut by the security team in case an attendee wishes to exit the venue during the period of the event.

10- Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the venue.

Arjun Jain, who is the Managing Director of White Fox India-the organisers behind this iconic concert tour, shared his views ahead of the Bieber concert this month,

“Justin Bieber is not only one of the chart topping artists of today and a huge star but one of the most in demand touring artists and most requested talents by the local fans. There are few artists in the world that can sell as many concert tickets here as Bieber and so when the opportunity to a show came up, we wanted to make sure Mumbai would be the host city considering Bieber is the second most popular artist in India. We will create history and place India on the world map.”

How We Expect The Show To Go Down!

Keeping in mind the historic magnitude of this concert, the arrangements have been in tandem with the star studded night we’ve come to expect of this special tour. The production design is enormous and larger than life, that will definitely wow the audiences with the visual treat they’ve got in store for all the fans attending.

The show will be quite the party atmosphere with fireworks, confetti, laser works, gas bursts and graphics in place to immerse the crowd in the experience via LED screens set up around the venue. The main stage is a sight to behold! The 160ft x 150ft massive stage area was set up with the help of 10 cranes and about 51 tonnes of equipment. With 600 moving lights and 300 square meters of LED displays, the stage is sure to be LIT! All set-up and functioning are being handled by international experts, to ensure absolute smooth running of the concert.

Stretched beyond the main stage area will be a smaller secondary performance area which is connected to the main stage by a catwalk. The set ups have been done with absolute attention to detail, with special scaffolding been flown in from Kochi. The smaller stage area has been set up as a closer area from where JB can interact with the crowd. Oh and we do know how he likes to show off those rock hard abs with some impressive dance moves as well.

350 special fans will be privy to the Bieber experience up close and personal, at a special JB Pit, and there are those fortunate few who may even be called on stage to share a jig with the star! The JB Pit is sure to be an awesome exclusive experience, with a killer 360 degree view of the stage with accessible underground tunnels.

What’s On The Playlist?

JB and his team of 25 dancers will hit the stage at 8pm for a 90 minute set. In accordance with the release of his latest album “Purpose”, it is no surprise that the Purpose World Tour dominates its set list with singles being pulled off the album. Fret not, the singer will also perform his old hits such as ‘Baby’ and ‘Boyfriend’, but special emphasis will be given to his new EDM-infused singles off his latest LP, which features collaborators such as Skrillex and Diplo.

While “What Do You Mean?”, “Get Used To It”, “Company” and “No Pressure” are expected to be the highlights of the night, the real vibe of the concert will elevate when the singer goes unplugged, grabs his guitar, embraces his pop soul and takes a seat on the red velvet couch, centre stage and croons “Cold Water” and “Love Yourself” into the heart of the night.

On-Ground Perks For You Beliebers!

1- There will be a 50 window box office by bookmyshow , a first time in the history of live events to avoid congestion near entry exit points. Mini box office 3 days before at various retail outlets across all the cities which will serve as pre-exchange outlets so that fans don’t have to stand in long queues on the day of the show

2- With safety being of utmost importance there will be 30 fire marshals, 150 fire extinguishers and 4 fire engines with 10 exit points in the venue.

3- With more than 25,000 vehicles expected at the show, 4 parking grounds have been reserved just a few furlong away.

4- All outdoor sites in Vashi, Nerul, Belapur starting from Toll Naka will be used as signages to guide fans to the different parts of the venue.

5- Fully equipped 7 first aid rooms with 40 trained medical supervisors and 3 cardiac ambulances and 3 normal ambulances will be available incase of any emergency. Additionally DY Patil Hospital, that is a stone throw away from the stadium will be fully available to attend to any medical casualties.

6- Incase you want to indulge in some lip smacking gourmet, attendees can eat their heart out at the mini Grub Fest, India’s largest food festival with 50 stalls like Chai Point, Dona Italia, Taco Bell, Wraps N Rolls, Tibbs, Umraan, Urban Spice, Goli Vada Pav, One Table Spoon, Cool Story, Keventers, Café Coffee Day, Shawarma Corner, Torp It Up, Subway, Box 8, Grill Point, Café Free, Charcoal Biryani, Dominos, Epigamia, Raw Pressery, Desi Deli, Theobroma, Uncle Jacks, Falafels, Bombay Food Truck.

7- There will be close to 150 runners with Red Bull ice packs to keep your fizzy drinks temperature in control.

8- There will be a free supply of packaged drinking water to beat the summer heat.

9- There will be a special chopper service available from Mahalakshmi to Navi Mumbai every 30 minutes that will allow fans to skip the traffic and reach the stadium in 15 minutes flat.

10- The security at the concert will be flown in from London and Dubai. The show will witness a security task-force of over 1200 personnel and backstage crew of more than 100 persons with more than 4000 employees working on the show.

11- There will be 15 TV screens installed in the arena starting from 52” TV screen to 60’wide LED wall for better viewing.

12- Bookmyshow party buses with an illusionist, stand-up comedian and karaoke session, quiz games to and fro from the stadium to ensure the most affordable commute option with designated security and lip smacking food from Bandra, Andheri and Juhu.

13- Booking of Uber rides through booking booths at the stadium for those who are unable to via their own Uber app incase phone batteries go for a toss.

14- Bajaj Electricals will install an eco-friendly art piece called “Tree Of Light” which features energy saving lights mounted on a barren tree painted in sparkling white which encourages the habit of saving energy in the youth for a better future.

15- At the stadium there will be the Skybag Experience Zone with a mechanical bull, Oyo Rooms Zone, SpiceJet Lounge and Ultra Lounge.

16- SpiceJet will offer discounted airfare for outstation attendees and shuttles to and fro from the parking lot to the stadium.

17- DY Stadium has renovated the access turnstiles & gates, washroom facilities, gardens and lawns for the concert. Most important is the construction of 16 bridges between the stands and the ground for the audience to walk in seamlessly and have minimum access hurdles. The bridges connect walkways and pathways to the main ground for smooth entry and exit.

18- A special disaster management company has been employed to handle any on-ground crisis.

19- The VVIP tables will be 14 feet high to give fans a panoramic view of the show.

The Purpose India Tour is expected to be grand on all levels! There is no doubt that it will be one of the biggest concerts that Mumbai has ever hosted, be it the stars that will be present at the show or the mammoth scale of the event, there is only one word to describe it – MASSIVE! The concert will be heavily marketed across cities in India-PVR cinemas will have promos and standees in place at 525 screens,i.e., 120 outlets across 48 cities. Banners of the event will be seen on 150 bus backs in Mumbai and posters across 150 retail outlets in Mumbai and Pune. The event will take over the media space running up to its event date with 45,000 seconds of radio, 20,000 seconds on television, and 22 full page print advertisements. Mumbai, Pune and Delhi will be the most viral places with about 95 outdoor spaces targeted exclusively for the event. The event has been going viral in the digital space and personal social media accounts are sure to be flooded with anticipatory posts leading up to the concert!
