The Canadian faithful have another festival headed towards them, and this time, it will be a version of Bestival – one of UK’s foremost music festivals. According to the NY Times, Bestival founder Rob Da Bank revealed the status of the Toronto expansion in partnership with local body Embrace Media, as well as Tomorrowland planners SFX Entertainment.

He also went on to reveal that the festival will be held from June 12 – 13, in a park area near Lake Ontario, while he remained tight-lipped about the line-up announcement. Bestival isΒ UK’s biggest boutique/getaway festival and it just dropped an insane first slot lineup, that doesn’t leave much to be desired for the second. This year the festival curated a lineup that will include The Chemical Brothers, Jungle, Duran Duran, Annie Mac, Flying Lotus, Tame Impala, Action Bronson and so many more.

It would be safe to assume some of these will make their presence felt in Toronto as well. Stay tuned to The Sherp for confirmations on the same.
