The label is going all out for it’s huge dance party taking place at the Amsterdam Dance Event.

Enchufada is a Portuguese label that has a combination of artists whose music is influenced by their home town of Lisbon where influence comes from Africa, South America and Europe. The label is celebrating its tenth anniversary and what better way to do it than having the artists come together for a “Ticket to The Tropics” night to showcase their talent to the audience. The artists under this label are some that you should have in your playlist. Here are the acts whose music you should be listening to:

1. Branko

This artist is leading the celebration and has a few hits under his belt. He has produced tracks on MIA’s new album and has songs that are known for beats that will get you dancing. His last album was filled with collaborations that had the perfect combination of slow rhythm and quick beats. Tracks like “On Top”, “Let Me Go” and “Take Off” are the songs you need to hear.

2. Dengue Dengue Dengue

This duo is receiving a lot of attention right now because of their set at SXSW. They’re sound is a marriage between old Peruvian music along with the new techno beats. They’re also graphic artists who reflected the same in their representation and their self-designed album covers. It might be slower than your average EDM music, but you’ll get into the groove regardless. A few favourites are “Dubcharacha”, “Banana” and “Lokumba”.

3. Rastronaut

This DJ is known for his bass heavy tracks with influence from the tropics with his quick pace but set rhythm. He has produced a lot of material under the label and continues to do so without deferring away from his original style. It’s fun, it’s catchy and it’s just plain amazing. Listen to “Furnas” his latest single and “Flex”.

4. Kuenta I Tambu

This group has the best dance track with “Jackhammer” that makes you want to just dance anywhere you are! The vocals and beats are thumping to a whole new level. They’re possibly the most energetic of the lot and it shows. The songs are a clear indication that simple is better.

5. Batuk

This trio provide vocals that combine perfectly well into a club hit with drum beats that complement each other so well. They’ve collaborated with many other artists in the past but continue to produce tracks that never sound the same. You can picture yourself sitting at a beach and listening to their songs and start an impromptu dance party on the spot with tracks like “Daniel” and “Vida”.

6. GIRLS

The name is misleading because the mastermind behind this is a man (GASP). Yoeri Roest creates mixes that resemble the ambience of the Rio carnival. The beat is loud and in your face which makes the best song to ever be played for any occasion. “Like That” is one of the tracks that is on repeat on our playlist and it should be on yours too!
