Putting up a great music event year after for two decades is no piece of cake. But the folks at BayFest — to be held this year from October 3-5 — seem to only getting better at it. Expect their signature breezy vibe and bigger acts this year. The Sherp give you all the details
1. BayFest is one of the largest and oldest festivals in Alabama, and has a rich line-up history

4. Every year, the festival gives out scholarships for music education to deserving candidates
The organisers award scholarships to students to purchase instruments, equipment and even music lessons. So far, over $85,000 has been given out in $1,000 scholarships.
5. The festival encourages people to check out their Launching Pad which features up-and-coming artistes…
… because, “you never know… you might just catch a glimpse of next year’s hottest band”.
