Global Gathering UK is just around the corner, a festival that provides some cutting edge electronic music, a great alternative for those disenchanted by the more commercial EDM festivals in the UK.  The festival is known to have launched/contributed/given a platform to some up and coming artists  who  are now immensely popular in their own right.  First we compiled a list of interesting GG facts for you, now we have comprehensive list of musicians the UK festival gave some major recognition to.

1. Chase & Status
Chase & Status have been with the festival from the very beginning when they were starting out and debuted new tracks, albums and live shows at the show. The duo have now grown into one of the biggest bass acts in the UK.

2. Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz
Two staple ( individual) acts  the GlobalGathering festivals around the world, Ferry and Markus debut their new collaboration, New World Punx, at the UK festival this summer.

3. Knife Party
Following headline performances as Pendulum, Knife Party have developed across the festival. Moving from a big top arena to headlining the Main Stage at this summer’s show.

4. W&W
An international staple that has grown with the festival as their sound has developed, moving between the trance and EDM communities

5. Jamie Jones
One of the most important figureheads in the deep house movement, Jamie Jones was instrumental in diversifying the UK festival in 2011. This summer he brings his Paradise brand and label to one of the biggest big tops on site.

From beginnings on the Hospital Records label, Netsky has developed into one of the most exciting acts in drum and bass around the world and grown into a major headliner on the GlobalGathering Main Stage with his critically acclaimed live show.


7.James Zabiela
Beginning his career under canvas at GlobalGathering, James Zabiela has played amongst some of the most influential acts in dance music history including Carl Cox and John Digweed. With his acclaimed label, Born Electric, James brings a host of some of the best up and coming acts in techno and minimal house.

8. Rudimental
This immensely popular British Band rose to prominence with their, single ‘Feel The Love’, back in 2012. Their performance at GG UK 2012, was one of the highlights of the festival.

Some special mentions for this year’s edition –
This year GlobalGathering will be bringing Pearl one of India’s most prominent DJs to the festival for the first time this summer. Performing in the Radio 1 Essential Mix LIVE arena, Pearl will play amongst some of the most established in the world including Eric Prydz, Pete Tong, Eats Everything and Duke Dumont. Also Krewella will be making their exclusive UK dance festival debut at GlobalGathering this weekend in the brand new super arena The Hangar.
