50 Cent created a stir last month when heĀ announced; what many believed to be, his retirement from the rap game: āā¦Ā My next album might be my last,ā he captioned a video featuring the 2003Ā āSmileā track. āI terrorized hip hop for 14 years, donāt believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie …ā.
Even after claiming that his next album will probably be his last; 50 CentĀ reassured his fans that he has no intentions of completely abandoning music.
Ā He clarified his comments during a recent appearance onĀ The Talk,Ā whereĀ he was asked if he truly intended to step away from music after his next record release. 50 Cent reiterated his planĀ to drop one more studio album; but said he wants to keep creating music for his small- and big-screen projects.
āI probably think Iāll deliver one more full-length album; then the other things I do will be connected to film and television,ā he said. āIām having so much success in this area; that I have opportunities to keep releasing music through the projects that Iām bringing.ā
50, whoās on a promotional tourĀ for hisĀ PowerĀ spinoff seriesĀ Power Book IV: Force, has not released a studio album since 2014āsĀ Animal Ambition. However, he has continued to tease his long-delayed effortĀ Street King Immortal, which was originally expected to drop in 2011. 50 CentĀ provided a brief updateĀ on the project during an interview withĀ the IndependentĀ last summer, where he revealed that he had scrapped the original version ofĀ Street King Immortal.
āThat original version is not [being released], but Iām releasing new music in September,ā he said, before confirming the album would not feature Eminem. āI didnāt finish the tracks with him ⦠Iām not gonna tell whoās on it because Iām the most exciting person [on the album].ā
