Amsterdam Dance Event is one of the dance music world’s key industry get-togethers’. The festival, which is celebrating its 21st year in 2016, is a five-day electronic music conference and festival held annually in mid-October. It is now the largest club festival of its kind in the world.

The Sherp takes a look at Indian artists on the lineup that have had an astonishing track record.Β So, without further ado, here they are!

1. Ash Roy

From DJing stints in neighbourhood pubs to becoming a part of Jalebee Cartel, one of India’s most definitive forces in EDM (Electronic Dance Music), Ash, has seen the top of the mountain.Β Ash Roy’s illustrious seventeen-year career has seen him perform around the world, including Germany, USA, India, Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Denmark, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and more!Β In the year 2014, Ash Roy won two prestigious awards which wereΒ Techno DJ’ for the year, as well as VH1 Sound Nation’s ‘Best Electronic DJ’.

2. (S)haan

In 2013, (S)haan, at the age of 18, was one of the first Indians to close the infamous box at Ministry of Sound, London twice.Β In only his first year of playing, (S)haan quickly jumped from opening sets for Funkagenda and Helium Project, to playing with Lost Stories and Pearl. The end of 2011 found him touring with Miss Nine and DJ Mag World Ranked #8 DJ, Avicii, at the Sunburn Festival Pre-Party Tour. (S)haan’s daytime progressive house set attracted thousands of Sunburners’, and was unofficially ranked one of the top five favourite sets of the festival.

3. Ankytrixx

He is a voyager of deep, emotive, cutting edge sound that has hurtled him to the halls of dance & fame, forever! Holding on to the No.1 position in India for Electronic Music on the popular MyFavDj Poll for the second year in a row, he has also bagged a 2nd award in 2013, the most eminent one, for the DJ of the Year.

4. Bullzeye

After his advent intoΒ DJ’ing in 1999 at the age of 16, under the influence of Sasha, Paul Oakenfold and Bedrock; Siddhanth Kapoor a.k.a. Bullzeye exploded around theΒ clubs in Mumbai with his tunes. His new project, ‘Bullzeye’, is to look out for heavily. A mix of all forms of Techno and House sounds, his sets cannot be missed.

5. Arjun Vagale

Arjun Vagale is one of India’s most craved DJs and is a part of an exclusive new breed of cutting edge producers making a titanic global impact. As one of the country’s leading electronic music exports, he plays over 100 gigs a year back home and tours regularly through Europe and Asia. A man with a true passion for the underground, he’s the master of aΒ sound he relentlessly plays, produces and promotes. It’s no surprise that Arjun was awarded 2011–2012’s Best Techno DJ / DJ Of the Year. He currently reigns at the top of the first-ever DJ Mag India Poll 2012.
