There are so many amazing anime shows out right now. You might love watching anime by yourself, but many people love watching anime with their significant others or their children. Some of these shows are so good that you might dream about how nice it’d be if they were adapted into video game properties. There are quite a few mobile games based on hit anime franchises, but not as many are getting adapted into console experiences these days.

Take a look at the following five great anime shows that deserve console games. These are some of the best shows that as of yet haven’t received video games on home consoles. Be sure to sound off and let everyone know your favorite anime shows that you’d like to see turned into console video games as well.

1. Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most exciting and compelling anime shows in recent memory. It’s become popular very fast and many consider it to be one of the best examples of Shounen anime done right. This anime follows the protagonist Yuji Itadori as he learns how to become a jujutsu sorcerer. The show has compelling characters, epic battles, and an overall great sense of style.

It could wind up becoming a legendary anime show that rivals the likes of Dragon Ball and Naruto before all is said and done. This is why Jujutsu Kaisen seems like one of the best candidates to receive a console game at some point. Jujutsu Kaisen has such a compelling world that it could make for a very good action RPG game on consoles. With its focus on fighting, it’d be easy to adapt the property into a fighting game as well.

2. Megalobox

Megalobox has an old-school vibe because it’s actually an anime that was made in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ashita no Joe. This show is about a new form of boxing called Megaloboxing. It’s essentially like normal boxing except that all of the fighters are wearing special gear that allows them to hit harder and take more punishment. The story of the anime unfolds as the protagonist Junk Dog works his way up from the underground world of Megaloboxing to challenge the true champion of the world.

Saying too much else would spoil the plot of the show, and it’s one that you definitely want to see for yourself. This anime show has a great story and fantastic action sequences. A boxing game based on Megalobox has the potential to be very fun. This would make for a very interesting traditional console boxing game, but it could also be adapted into a VR boxing game along the lines of Creed: Rise to Glory.

3. Outlaw Star

Outlaw Star is a classic anime that came out in 1998 in Japan. It aired on Toonami in the US in 2001 and many people consider it to be an old favorite. The fact that this show never got a video game adaptation seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. This sci-fi anime involves bounty hunters, space pirates, otherworldly sorcerers, and huge space ship battles with ships that have grappling arms.

You can see how someone would think that Outlaw Star might make for an interesting video game. A game that features a combination of standard third-person action mechanics and space battles would be ideal. Were you fond of this anime in the past? How would you turn Outlaw Star into a video game if you had the opportunity to do so?

4. Fire Force

Fire Force is another one of the more popular Shounen-style anime in modern times. This one follows the protagonist Shinra who is a member of the Fire Force. The phenomenon of spontaneous human combustion turns people into flaming monsters, and they must be put to rest by this special team. Shinra’s squad has to fight to protect the lives of citizens as well as their property.

There’s a lot more to it than that as well, and the members of the Fire Force wind up having to fight many powerful foes. Much like Jujutsu Kaisen, Fire Force would make sense as a third-person action RPG. Could Fire Force be adapted into a video game similar to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot someday? Only time will tell.

5. Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers is a story about time travel and learning how to overcome weakness. It’s not something that should be discussed in-depth without having first watched the show. This story deals with a Tokyo street gang known as the Tokyo Manji Gang and the impact that this gang will have on the future. The story is so good and there are many ways that it could be adapted into video game format if someone decides to take on the project.

If any of these game ideas ever come to fruition, then you might be able to enjoy them with your kids someday. Being a parent isn’t always easy, though.
