As an excellent debut effort, The Enchanted Valley Carnival bravely took on its already established contenders, last December. Set on the scenic airstrip of Ambay Valley and against the backdrop of a massive air balloon, the festival delivered a diverse line up from big room to deep house to indie Indian music.Β
Now back with a beastly line-up and some great activities to boot, EVC plans to take it to the next level, this year
1. One festival, multiple genres
What’s great about a multi-genre festival is that you can choose what acts to watch depending on your mood. With big headliners like David Guetta & New World Punx, you may think EVC is predominantly about mainstream dance music but believe it or not you’ll find variety of genres including Techno, Trance, D&B (Drum and Bass), Pop, Fusion, Folk, Rock, Dubstep and Experimental Music. To add to that, each of the threeΒ stage will be a genre specific which is perfect if you just want to park yourself at a corner.
2. Behold, the silent disco!
Here’s a special treat for campers at EVC. The Enchanting Village will come with it’s very own silent disco stage.

3. The flea market
This time the flea market will be twice as large and exciting as before. Drop by between acts to pick up some of lovely handmade trinkets at the various stalls. There will be around 20 food stalls to help satiate your hunger pangs and The Sherp’s Photohut for those of you who are sick of taking selfies.

4. A festival on an air strip. What more do you want?Β
EVC isΒ India’s first and only festival to be held on an Airstrip. Don’t you think that warrants a visit?
5. Gorgeous weather
With its crisp and cold yet sunny weather with the backdrop of the beautiful Western Ghats, Β Ambay Valley city is the perfect venue for an outdoor festival during the month of December.
6. Camping
The camp-site received an overwhelming response last year with it all the tents sold out on the first day. This year Enchanted Village is back with double the capacity and plenty to do during on all the 3 days.Β The Village aims to accommodate 2,000 people daily with multiple camping options such as BYOT (bring your own tent), classic Tents and Club Tents. Activities at the camp-site include a series of silent parties, workshops, yoga sessions, outdoor sports, bonfires and lots more!
7. Β New World PunxΒ and David Guetta
Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten will be throwing down their trance-y vibes at the festival this year, in the form of their new duo-act, New World Punx. This will their first time performing together in India.
Grammy winning French DJ and producer, David Guetta will be headlining the fest as well.
8.Β Watch out for the EVC theme!
This time EVC is going to be based on a surprise theme, attend the festival to find out what it could be.
Β 9. Adventure SportsΒ
In addition to all the music mayhem, the merriment includes speed boating, jet skiing, kayaking, floating volleyball/basketball, zorbing, rock climbing, rappelling and even a 4×4 Jungle Safari!
10. The after-parties
To make sure you have a thoroughly fulfilling time at EVC, specially organised after-parties will take place at the venue. Don’t even think about missing them.
