It’s big, it’s loud, it’s Bollywood.

Asia’s largest multi-genre Bollywood music festival, Bollywood Music Project will be taking place this month from the 30th to the 1st of October and it’s going to be amazing just by the looks of it. But with so much building up, how does one decide the things that are a must? We’ve got the answer for you. Take a look at some of the highlights and things that you should not miss out on as a part of the festival.

1. Cheer on the winners of the Voice Hunt

A contest that is already in motion; all amateur singers could submit a video entry online and the advisory panel, including Rekha Bhardwaj, Hariharan, Sunny M.R. and Sajid-Wajid, would shortlist 20 participants who will be called for auditions and two would be the lucky winners! The winners will get to open for Arijit Singh and Rekha Bhardwaj on the big days. How amazing is that?!

2. Check out the Pop-up Stores

We love shopping and we’re pretty sure you do too. So why miss out on it over the two days! A huge section will be dedicated to street flea pop ups where you can look for some funky clothing and accessories. You’ll be able to rock them at the festival too. Make sure you buy some jhumkas to show off at the retro gigs.

3. Watch Sonakshi sing out loud

Actor Sonakshi Sinha will be at the event and will perform a few songs from her movies including Ishqholic, Joganiyan, Rajj Rajj Ke and a few of her favourites for a whopping 40 minutes. We’re sure that she’ll charm the attendees with her sweet voice and fun personality. Definitely do not miss out on this one.

4. Watch the youngsters shine

As a teen, all I did was lay around and crib about eating veggies. But these young performers give me serious self-doubts. Don’t fall for their young age, they can surpass all expectations. The stage will hold performances by the talented Aakanksha Sharma, Ami Mishra, Amit Mishra, Asees Kaur, Bhoomi Trivedi, Brijesh Shandilya, Prakriti Kakar, Shashwat Singh, Sukriti Kakar, Yaseer Desai and Yashita Sharma.

5. Sign up for the master class

Fans will get an all exclusive look into the life of an artist through podcasts which will be put up online. Aspiring singers can also tune in to get exclusive tips and tricks on music making. We’re tuning our guitars already.

6. Catch the wonder women in action

Women empowerment is an idea that needs to be stressed upon and has recently gained a lot of importance in society. A special performance will be dedicated to this movement and will include some of the Indian music industry’s famous female singers like Aakriti Kakar, Chinmayi Sripaada, Hard Kaur, and Vaishali Samant. This act will celebrate women in the Bollywood industry and all around the globe.

We’re hoping this live tribute will be filled with the late musician’s hit songs like “Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke”.
