The German music scene is known for its vibrant music festivals. After the infamous psytrance festival Full Moon was shut down in 2010, a few of the organizers decided to continue making something great. Thus, was born Freqs of Nature.Β As they say, βthe main factor is our focus on art and the concept of being a platform for all kinds of scenes related to art and artists.β The festival works to promote music and art by bringing it right to the people. You will find some of the most creative souls here and the beautiful decor is just one of the many reasons that we are in love with this festival.

2. GeoParadise
GeoParadise is a community building festival that takes place on the leafy Caribbean beach of Panama. Every year in February, volunteers from all over the world gather to come together and work towards the community building exercise of developing the tribal communities around. The festival lasts for a full 18 days, as attendees attend workshops and particpate in events where the local tribal leaders come and share their experiences and thoughts. The weekend turns this festival into a heavy rave where the forest lights up to welcome the hard working attendees.Β DJs, mostly European, drop some of the sickest trance beats.

3. Enchanted Forest Gathering
Just as its name suggest, the Enchanted Forest gathering is a pretty magical space. A transformational arts and music festival, it is what your inner hippie has been dying for. A three-day annual event in the sleepy Redwoods of Mendocino, the festival has everything from yoga workshops to the best dance music lineups, including Shpongle this year. 4. Future Forest, USA.
One festival that really makes use of its leafy location, Future Forest is a favourite amongst psytrance lovers. The festival takes place annually by bringing in Β the most diverse crowd from all over the world to come together and have some fun. One of the highlights of the festival is the amazing camping options that they provide. With comfortable tents right in the forest, it gives you a chance to really soak in nature, making itΒ quite unique.

5. The Lost Theory Festival, Croatia.
The Lost Theory Festival is a true psytrance festival that takes place in Croatia every year. The festival is the meeting point of hippies and gypsies from all over the world who flock to the Croatian beachside to enjoy one of the few festivals that truly honours psytrance at this level. More than just music, the festival focuses on spiritual healing and is designed in a aesthetically pleasing and trippy manner. The stages and decor are themed around kaleidoscopic and three dimensional effects that encompass the senses as the music slowly heals your soul.

6. Electric Forest Festival
Electric Forest Festival is one of the most beautiful festivals in the world. Its fantastical aesthetics light up the majestic woods of Rothbury, Michigan every year for a dreamy four days. The festival is filled with the most exotic of attractions tucked away in every corner , such as spontaneous performances, art installations and of course, flamboyant parties. The festival is fairyland on acid and if these pictures are any inclination, it is a life changing experience all right.
To match the production, they have an even crazier lineup. Bonobo, Major Lazer and Gorgon City are all ready to take things to another level this year. Last year Skrillex gave the attendees the biggest surprise of their lives as he served up a surprise collaboration with The String Cheese Incident. 7. Forest Edge Festival, Β Australia
Focusing mainly on Christian music, Forest Edge is a fun and family friendly festival that takes place every year in Australia. The alcohol and drugs-free event is held so that families can come together and enjoy some really good music together. Children from local schools take official trips to the festival to soak in the fun vibe of the festival. Though the lineups mainly include Australian artists, its still totally worth a trip due to the chilled out and happy-go-lucky atmosphere!

8. Shambala Music Festival, British Columbia
Held at the Salmo River Ranch, the Shambala Music Festival is awesome as it gets. The five days of pure awesomeness brings about some of the craziest electronic music with art in a delectable mix with nature. The entire festival is themed around nature and leaving behind as tiny an impact as possible.

9. Wilderness Festival
Wilderness Festival is one of the most eclectic festivals out there, incorporating theater, music, sports, yoga, art and much more in a humble four-day celebration. Despite its modest and unostentatious demeanour, this festival is far from shy.
