Viagogo is having a hard time coping with the sudden surge in ticket demand for Avicii’s shows! With the popular Swedish DJ recently announcing his retirement from touring, the ticketing website has recorded a staggering 151% increase in ticket demand directly and indirectly related to the performer!
Ticket demand for his own shows alone have seen a meteoric rise. The DJ/producer has shows scheduled in Ibiza, Japan, Poland, Israel, Sweden and Dubai, as well as performances at popular festivals like Lisbon’s Rock in Rio, Electric Daisy Carnival UK, Ultra Korea, Weekend Festival Baltic and Creamfields.

The last festival on that list, however, holds a lot of importance. Creamfields is scheduled to be his last live performance before retirement, and demand for tickets to the festival witnessed an 87% increase overnight!
A spokesperson from Viagogo had this to say: “Avicii has become a world-renowned DJ, carving himself as a major player in the industry, not just in the UK but across the globe. As a result, he has a huge and loyal fanbase who are desperate to see him in what could be his last ever tour.”
Well, the Swedish DJ wanted to go out with a bang, and given the circumstances, he is definitely on his way to doing so!
