The Two Oceans Hermanus Whale Festival (October 3-6) is a dream come true for marine life lovers; visitors can take part in whale-watching and enjoy kick-ass music performances

No sound checks or artiste tantrums at this festival. The headliners at the Hermanus Whale Festival couldn’t be more larger-than-life, for a simple reason — they are one of the largest mammals in the world. The enviro-arts event is held in the coastal town of Hermanus, which is considered the best land-based whale-watching destination in the world.

Every year, hundreds of tourists flock to the festival to spot the many whales around the shore. Last year, a whopping 110,000 creatures were seen. Visitors can even go kayaking to add more thrill to their whale-watching experience. This year, the festivity will be held over this weekend, October 3-6.
