The much-anticipated Off-season from J Cole dropped almost a week ago, and since then many chart experts had been predicting the numbers Cole’s sixth studio album will do. And to no one’s surprise at all, Cole debuted at number 1 on the billboard 200 chart!

This is his 6th consecutive number 1 album! The previous ones being 2018’sΒ KOD, 2016’sΒ 4 Your Eyez Only, 2014’sΒ 2014 Forest Hills Drive, 2013’sΒ Born Sinner,Β and 2011’sΒ Cole World: The Sideline Story.

Off-Season has sold a whopping 282,000 album-equivalent units since it dropped. It has the biggest streaming week this year and just fell short of beating Taylor Swift’s album. Regardless of that, Cole has the biggest opening week for any hip-hop album this year, and it also might be the best hip-hop album of this year.

The chart data still has to come out, so we might see songs from the album in the hot 100 as well.

There are many big artists who will be releasing their albums this year, one of them being Drake. The only person who can beat Cole right now is Drake. Unfortunately, Drake’s CLB (Certiofired lover boy) git delayed, and there’s no news on when it will drop.

Till then enjoy the Off-season!
