With the countercultural extravaganza kicking off today, The Sherp sheds light on what you shouldn’t miss at the festival, apart from the music.
To celebrate 15 years of the city’s best parties, Bhavishyavani Future Soundz in partnership with Network Prive have launched Eden, a new festival celebrating live music, live art and live performances. More than a series of parties – though it’ll be that, too – Eden will transform Bombay into a countercultural playground, an urban space that captures the dynamic community of thinkers and creators, makers and doers that has, for centuries, made our city the most vibrant in India, and one of the most exciting on earth.

What About Art?
WAA is an arts management agency started by French arts manager and curator Eve Lemesle. WAA works within, and provides technical expertise to the growing Indian art scene. WAA’s strength lies in providing apposite infrastructure to artists for production, fabrication and site installation. We provide similar expertise to curators, galleries, museums and collectors to set up large exhibitions, public art projects and to maintain collections.
WAA has organised several international artist exchange programs, and handled projects for artists such as Shilpa Gupta, Rashid Rana, William Kentridge, Nikhil Chopra, Tejal Shah, Raymonde April, Sunil Gawde and Charles Freger, to name a few.
Soazic
French artist Soazic Guezennec lives and works in Mumbai. Her work has been praised for its “deep ecological sensibility” and concern about the planet’s survival and future, expressed through paintings, videos, and installations that explore the tension between nature and urbanization. Born in 1971 and educated at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts in Paris, she has exhibited in many European countries as well as the USA, Japan, Korea, India, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Samir Parker
Samir Parker lives and works in Mumbai. He has designed installations, exhibitions and publications for Bodhi Art, The London School of Economics, UNICEF and the Venice Biennale. He has collaborated with artists such as Atul Dodiya, Nataraj Sharma, Zarina Hashmi and CAMP. He has been awarded fellowships at Sarai CSDS and the Khoj Studios in New Delhi. He has recently been selected for a residency at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center. He continues to teach and develop curriculum and outreach at the Faculty of Design, CEPT University Ahmedabad.
Juan Requena
Juan Ernesto Requena Pelucarte’s life journey till date is a collection of experiences from diverse cultures across the globe. Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1979, he moved to London and then to Lausanne, Switzerland where he dedicated his time to writing, drawing, painting and language studies. In 2000, he was in Florence, Italy, where he worked towards the 2 years Program in Fine Arts at the Centro Lorenzo De’Medici. In 2002, Paris beckoned, where he worked and collaborated with Christian Boltanski.
Chetan Raut
Chetan Raut is a Mumbai-based artist who studied at JJ School of Art and specializes in large bamboo installations.
VJ DeCOY
Dhanya Pilo a.k.a VJ DeCOY works as a Visual Jockey, film maker, designer and a visual artist from her studio in Bombay, the teeming hub of India’s artistic and film community.
Transhuman Collective
Transhuman Collective (THC) is a multi-disciplinary collaborative project inspired by the philosophy of Transhumanism. Abbreviated as H+ , it is an international cultural and intellectual movement which focuses on technology and collaboration to greatly enhance human intellectual, creative, and psychological capacities.
Wolves
Wolves is a live visual project and proto-rebellious medium for Joshua Dmello and Jash Reen. Currently teething, the project is being tested through 3D-mapped installations for alternative residencies (Smash Up, Bass Camp) and commercial mainstays like Lakme India Fashion Week.

Berlin’s infamous creative agency which encompasses all disciplines of art, be it performance, some pretty cool set designing, Videography, Installation and photography. In simpler terms, Crystal Mafia promises and have delivered every sort of visionary direction your production could possibly wish for!
The posse have been to multiple countries for multiple festivals and the like and this will be there first time to India to specially perform at Eden. Promising, “Seductive thrills, creative impulses and luxurious fantasy..” this party making – soul shaking crew will most definitely blow your mind.
The purpose of Eden is to encourage creative participation. With SO much happening alongside the music, The Eden festival is panning out to look like a visual treat for all those present. Just don’t even think about missing this.
