Since 2002, Sasquatch! has been one of the top music festivals in the USA, on par with biggies like Coachella, Burning Man and ACL, and it has only been growing in size.

It makes sense that Sasquatch! Festival is a monster in terms of magnitude; after all, it gets its name from a mythicalย monster from the Northwest, who’s also known as Bigfoot. Sasquatch happens at one of the most popular natural amphitheatres in the States, The Gorge Amphitheatre. It’s a picturesque location; the main stage has a lovely backdrop in the Columbia River and the expanse of small hills and plains.

Sasquatch! has seen some of the biggest acts in music come, enthrall 20,000-strong crowds, and leave. Right from Outkast, Kendrick Lamar and Beck to Bon Iver, Kings Of Leon, Tame Impala and Sigur Ros, the list of greats goes on. The lineup’s diversity is worth noting; it’s a well-balanced mix of different genres stacked into one mammoth lineup spread across five stages.

This year’s lineup is already out, and calling it a massive one would be an understatement. With Disclosure, Florence + The Machine, The Cure, Major Lazer and many more featured, this year’s edition is going to be off the hook!

It’s a true countryside festival; Sasquatch! isย not close to any large urban city, so it’s the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can either catch the biggest acts on the main stage, or walk around and check out any of the other stages:ย Bigfoot Stage, Banana Shack, Yeti Stage and Maine Stage.ย If you’re bored of watching all those amazing acts on stage, you can always go back to your tent in the vast campgrounds, have some alcohol, and chill out. Yes, alcohol is allowed at the campsite.

The location itself brings that communal feeling otherwise associated with Burning Man, or even the legendary Woodstock for that matter. You’re surrounded by true festival enthusiasts for four days in a remote area. You’re bound to make lifelong friends.

The aforementioned points are probably why tickets usually get sold out in less than 2 hours every time the sale opens up. It took less than 90 minutes in 2013. Festival-goers religiously follow and swear by Sasquatch! because of its perfect mix of magnitude and good vibes. That being said, if it’s the month of May and you’re in the USA, there’s no better place to be at than Sasquatch!
