The Pokemon community was thrilled when they saw the gameplay footage of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The level of excitement was so great that fans forgot to confirm much of the information they saw in the video. For example, many fans thought that the game would be an open-world RPG due to the first look of the game.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus was shown off on the 25th-anniversary celebrations, and it looked very much like Zelda Breath of the wild. The Zelda game was open-world, so many fans thought Legends would be too. They aren’t wrong in assuming it, but the game’s creators never clarified the issue, and on top of that they acted as if it were an open-world game just like they did with Sword and Shield’s wild area.

But the reality is something different; the world will be a collection of wild areas. Yes, the same wild areas that were a part of Pokemon Sword and Shield, these wild areas are more frequent in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The wild areas are also significant in the game; nothing has been done on this scale in Pokemon before.

Still, this doesn’t mean the game is open-world like the GTA games. This issue has been going for a while, and we hope this post has clarified it!
