Rock fans rejoice! We have a list of the best albums dropping this October!

This month is going to see a wide range of releases, right from re-issues by legends to bands that are resurfacing after being absent from the scene for quite sometime. Here are some of the mention-worthy albums dropping this month. So keep your eyes and ears open so that you don’t miss any of these gems!

1. Alter Bridge- The Last Hero

After the release of their last album “Fortress” in 2014, the band took a hiatus of one year. They are back with their new album “The Last Hero“. The band has already joined the likes of Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed for a world tour. The album is about to release on October 7, 2016. Given that Miles Kennedy is at the helm of the band, this album is going to be a surefire hit!

2. Green Day- Revolution Radio

Everyone who was around in the 90s and early 2000s know Green Day like the back of their tongue. The punk rock band makes a comeback on October 7th with their new album “Revolution Radio“. They released a new single from the album “Bang Bang” in August which sent everyone down memory lane. The band is going to embark on a year long tour once the album drops!

3. The Beach Boys- Good Vibrations(50th Anniversary Edition)

The California rock band, The Beach Boys, are coming out with a 50th anniversary edition of the song “Good Vibrations” on October 10th. The disc will include the audio of the original 7” single, an alternate studio take, a collection of edits from various studio sessions, an instrumental version and a concert performance taken from a rehearsal in Hawaii from the aborted live album “Lei’d In Hawaii.” It will also add “Let’s Go Away For Awhile,” the single’s B-side from the “Pet Sounds” album. This one is going to be one to look out for!

4. Bon Jovi- This House Is Not For Sale

Undoubtedly one of the biggest rock bands of all time, Bon Jovi is an all american classic band. Their last album, which had come out in 2014, sees the legends come together for a new album titled “This House Is Not For Sale“. Bon Jovi said “The record is about our integrity. Integrity matters and we’re at a place in our career where we don’t have anything left to prove.” Given the legacy that they have created, it goes without saying that this might be a fire record!

5. David Bowie- Lazarus Cast Album

This year, we lost a legend that the world admired. Bowie was remembered by many as one of the most influential figures in music history. His final recordings were set to be a part of the “Lazarus” cast album. The three tracks – “No Plan,” “Killing a Little Time” and “When I Met You” – originally appeared in Bowie’s musical Lazarus, where the production’s cast performed them. For fans of the “Starman” you can’t miss this one for the world.

6. Sting- 57th and 9th

Police front man Sting is all set to make a comeback to rock with his new album “57th and 9th”. “It’s rockier than anything I’ve done in a while.” said Sting. And when Sting himself says something like that, you know you’re in for a total ride. Gear up for this!

7. Metallica- Hardwired…To Self Destruct

Last but definitely not the least, heavy metal gods Metallica have made a comeback and how! The band is following up their 2008 album “Death Magnetic” with a new album titled “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct“. Pretty hardcore as usual! They released an energetic and totally mental video for the track “Hardwired” from the album this month. Needless to say, it just got everyone more hyped up. Although this comes out in November, we couldn’t control ourselves from including this in the list. After all, who would not write about Metallica?

Look out for these amazing albums throughout this week and have some great listening sessions!
