The rocker will be making his debut in the country this month.

The Orange Festival of Adventure and Music is celebrating its third edition this year and in order to carry out the most memorable event they can, they will be hosting Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, in what will be his first ever show in the country! Here’s what he had to say about his debut India performance – “I’m very excited to play in India for the first time and can’t wait to see all my Indian fans and rock out to a very magical night”.

Over a span of four days, from the 15th to 18th of December, the festival will be held at the Dambuk Village in the Lower Dibung Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, which is known for the sweetest oranges you will ever find. The festival will also host other big acts including Ganesh Talkies, Menwhopause, Yesterdrive, Frisky Pants, Ginger Feet and The Baby Boomers. Two metal bands, Tani and Sacred Secrecy, will be the opening acts for Malmsteen, who has been instrumental in providing the “shredding” technique for guitars in the 80s and will perform on the 17th of December.

The festival has a unique quality of bringing people together with adventure activities that will include JK Tyre’s annual off-roading competition and Orange 4X4 Fury. This year will also have Maruti Suzuki’s Rally Championship. Others will include river rafting, ziplining, ATV rides, elephant rides and a special trek with Mount Everest’s first woman climber, Tine Mina.

The festival has been a hit in the past with acts like Digital Suicide, Lou Majaw and Joseph Arthur taking the stage along with fun sports, food and experiencing the culture of Arunachal Pradesh. The tickets are still available here and you can get more information about the same on their official website. But if you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for a quick fix, start packing your bags.
