#Unite4Avicii – A salute to The Legend by Guestlist4Good (A Free Show)
We all know and were shocked by the ‘Wake Me Up’ hit maker Avicii’s sudden death on 20th April 2018, real name Tim Berling, which took place in Muscat, Oman. He was just 28 years old and his family says that he was going through a lot of mental pressure. It has now come into light that his death was a ‘suicide’, Avicii’s family confirmed in a statement.
It was seven years ago that Shailendra Singh brought the hottest DJ on the scene to India to perform for the first ever ‘Sunburn Arena’. He had already built a thriving dance music scene in India through five successful years of theΒ Sunburn Festival and Sunburn Arena would bring fans’ favorite international DJs to perform in their own cities. The First DJ that Shailendra Singh invited to headline the new property, was the 21-year-old Swedish Sensation – Avicii.
“Avicii was one of the hottest DJs in the world at that time,” shares the Inceptor of Sunburn, Shailendra Singh. “He performed a truly amazing set and it was a real joy to get to know him. Sunburn Arenas were launched through Avicii, so we have more to thank him for more than only his music. It was heartbreaking to hear the news of his passing.”
Now, through his latest entertainment-for-good venture, Guestlist4Good, Shailendra Singh once again unites the dance music industry in celebration of, and to salute Avicii, the DJ who provided a party soundtrack for an entire generation of fans.
Industry, fans and friends unite this Friday, May 4th 2018, starting at 6:00 pm at the High Street Pheonix, Lower Parel.Β Lineup includes SHAAN, Sound Avtar, Zenith, The Spin Doctor, DJ Hiren and more. Not wanting anyone to be left out and for those fans who cannot visit Mumbai, the event will be live-streamed on Facebook and Instagram through Guestlist4Good’s handle.
