We’re all pretty excited for Nariyal Paani that is taking place Alibaug, this weekend. Here’s a taste of the eclectic music you’ll be jamming to at the fest. 

 

1. The Jass B’stards

Have you heard of Jazz punk? Introducing the Jass B’stards, a band based in Delhi, who are quite notorious for the shows they put on. Nariyal Paani is all set to feature these guys and their unique take on Jazz music, that can really get a crowd going!

3. ChandBibi And The Waste Candidates

Hailing from Bangalore, ChandBibi And The Waste Candidates will bring RnB, Funk and “konnakol inspired grooves interspersed with jazz harmony”. You can only watch them live to figure out what that concoction can sound like.

4. The Vivienne Pocha Ensemble

Let us just say this, fronted by an incredible vocalist, this ensemble will bring the blues back to you, in the good way of ‘course. Look out for wailing guitars & soulful vocals, this is an act you really do not want to miss.

 5. Kabir Cafe

You may know these guys from a certain Dewarist episode with Vishal Dadlani, Kabir Cafe are a contemporary folk music group intent on bringing the at the best of Kabir’s verses to life through their terribly catchy music.

6. Stella by Starlight

Self-described as ‘Acoustic folksy goodness from Bombay’, their music will definitely get you in a carefree and happy mood.

7. Bombay Bassment

Spanning over four genres, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Funk, Dancehall, Drum n Bass, Bombay Bassment will definitely set the vibe for the evening.

8. Dharavi Rocks

Kids hailing from the slums of Dharavi, who are self-taught percussionists who make instruments out of scrap metal and discarded water drums.Their performance at Nariyal Paani, will be nothing but a treat, yougaiz.
