Jaipur’s Biggest Festival Is Making A Comeback In January 2018. So Make Your Way There.

The greatest literary show on Earth is back!

The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival is coming to delight bookworms with a five-day programme set against the backdrop of Rajasthan’s stunning cultural heritage at the Diggi Palace in the state capital Jaipur.

Scheduled to take place from the 25^th to the 29^th of January 2018, writers and Festival Directors, Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple, have invited esteemed speakers from across the globe to share their experiences and knowledge to enthusiastic revellers. You can also expect a showcase of some pretty incredible musical talents to set in the mood. Check the programme schedule right here.

Past speakers have ranged from Nobel Laureates J.M. Coetzee, Orhan Pamuk and Wole Soyinka, Man Booker Prize winners Ian McEwan, Margaret Atwood and Paul Beatty, Sahitya Akademi winners Girish Karnad, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, M.T. Vasudevan Nair as well as the late Mahasweta Devi and U.R. Ananthamurthy along with literary superstars including Amish Tripathi, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Vikram Seth. The Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry and Thomas Piketty. Phew! Now you know why this is one festival you just can’t miss.
