Las Vegas, get ready to take a virtual escape into one of the best electronic music festivals in the world.
Attendees at the CES convection 2017, in Las Vegas, are in for a special treat. Insomniac and VRLIVE have just announced a virtual reality collaboration to be debuted at the convention, allowing fans to relive all the groundbreaking moments from last year’s 20th annual Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas. VRLIVE will feature extensive 360 degree footage, taking viewers on an imaginative trip to North America’s top music festival. This will enable the crowd to virtually witness over 250 global performers across 8 of EDC’s massive stages as well as 14 iconic Art cars.
To view the footage, viewers will be provided with Samsung GearVR as well as Onkyo and Phillips headphones. A trailer of the immersive experience will be available for viewing at CES onΒ Jan 5-7Β fromΒ 10 AM β 6 PM at the VRLIVE Lounge, in the expansive Gibson Brand activation tent, located directly outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Those individuals who attended the incredible EDC Las Vegas 2016 show were privileged enough to witness this special virtual adventure first hand! VRLIVE made the experience possible; executing a 360 degree broadcast and routing each stream to about 50 Samsung GearVR headsets at the VRLIVE Lounge on the festival grounds itself. Thanks to these efforts, guests got the opportunity to transform themselves to any stage of their choice while standing right next to their favourite DJ!
