Dumru Rhythm Festival is back again, with world-renownedΒ percussion artists from all over the world, and it looks even more promising than before.
20 world-renowned drummers, 15 percussion acts, 3 workshops, a drumming fleaΒ market, mass drumming, drum jams, regional drummers will be seen together at what is now “India’s premiere rhythm festival”. The last two editions of the festival (2011 and 2012) featured and all-Indian percussion lineup, but this time the fun goes global.
Dumru Rhythm Festival 2015 will have global collaborations for the first time, withΒ internationally reputedΒ and Grammy award winning percussionists from USA, Europe andΒ India collaborating to come up with new sounds, entertain the audience as also inspireΒ and educate enthusiasts. The entire profit from the festival will be given towardsΒ eradication of malnutrition in India, through their initiative βMusic for Foodβ, which works with Impact India Foundation.
Gear up to drum for a good cause, because this festival is hittingΒ Showtime Arena, Mundhva Road, Koregaon Park, Pune on December 18, 19 & 20. There’s going to be a talent stage, a bonfire drum jam, live graffiti and masterclasses and a whole lot of percussion fun!
