Summer festival announcements are now in full swing and now one of Australia’s biggest music events, the Future Music Festival has confirmed when and where it will take place in 2015, as the dance festival swings through the country next February and March. After announcing Drake, Avicii, The Prodigy, Martin Garrix and many others as part of their line-up, the festival has turned back the clock and decided to sign Finnish producer Darude.

‘Sandstorm’, his most popular production till date, has fixed it’s spot as a classic in electronic music over the past 15 years since it’s release in 1999. The track was most popularly dropped at the recently concluded Stereosonic by Peking Duk, the video of which has stormed through the internet over the past couple of weeks. This major throwback moment could be pointed out as the actual reason behind the festival signing an artiste who has been in the woods for quite some time now.
