What Would Diplo Do? This Show Reveals It All!

If you wanted to gain insight into the ‘the person’ behind your favourite music, this brand new 2017 TV show will do just that.  

Electronic music lovers stay tuned. One of your favourite producers will be portrayed as a title character in a brand new TV show! In addition to being an American DJ, record producer, singer and  songwriter, the artist is now going to be forever immortalized!

‘What Would Diplo do?’ will be a comedy show based on the lifestyle and personality of the Major Lazer co-founder. Written by Dawson Creek’s star, James Van Der Beek, the show is described as “Louie meets WorldStarHipHop crossed with This Is Spinal Tap” and will be “shepherded” by Oscar-winning director and Viceland co-president Spike Jones.

According to Deadline, six episodes of the show have already been ordered by Viceland. Van Der Beek and Diplo, alongside with Diplo’s long-time manager Kevin Kusatsu and music video helmer Brandon Dermer will serve as executive producers for the show.

If you are wondering how such a show came about, well then you need to see this clip. The idea apparently sprung from a Mad Decent Block Party promo video where Van Der Beek portrayed  Diplo.
