Presenting Envision, a festival hosted on a beach-side jungle in Costa Rica, where community, the environment and culture comes together in a beautiful balance.
Viva La Experience is the motto of the very unique Envision festival. Every february, people from all over the world unite on this small stretch of paradise to teach themselves a little bit about the importance of the environment, community and cultures from all over america. The festival is held every February for four days straight, the 2015 edition of which will take place from February 26 to March 1.

Envision has all the elements of a perfect experience – music, art, culture and communal living on a beach. Among the activities, apart from the music, expect to be blown away by drum circles, healing workshops, yoga, permacultures, art and even plant healing.

The festival began, back in 2011 in a village in Costa Rica, but now is held at the Rancho La Merced, part of the National Wildlife Refuge. Apart from being an absolutely stunning “location”, attendees are expected to take care of their surroundings as much as it takes care of them. The food you’ll get at the fest is obviously organic and from local communities giving you that intimate feel.

From healing techniques, reiki, herbal consultations to Yoga, you can partake in whatever you like, and are encouraged to do so as part of the ‘free-your-body-mind-and-soul’ ideologies of this festival
There is also a permaculture zone, that will educate about building agricultural and environmental systems that move in the same direction of nature instead of the other way around. That fact that you will only sleep in tents, eat organic food, drink filtered water and take Bamboo showers is a testament to how serious this festival is about the environment.

If you do head to the festival, here’s what you should not miss out on : The guided tours across the jungle will educate you on the regional beauty of the place. Also watching the sunset on the beach with the rest of the festival-folk around you who will be either drumming, doing yoga, chanting will be THE highlight of your experience.
