The future bass duo will be the first homegrown act to play alongside other top global musical acts at Coachella 2015.

The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’s Do Lab stage announced the addition of the Los Angeles based B.R.E.E.D to the nearly transcendent list of leading musicians from all over the world. One of the most iconic events on the world music calendar, the festival spanning across two weekends in April in Indio, California, will see the duo playing on the Do Lab stage on the first weekend starting 10th April 2015.

The duo consists of Ritesh D’Souza, one of Asia’s most influential and original underground electronic DJ-producers & bass music pioneer, and Tara Mae, a classically-trained pianist and vocalist. They launched their first album ‘Binate‘ which garnered them the long overdue attention and appreciation in the Indian electronic scene.

Seemingly ecstatic about the announcement, the duo said, “We are super excited to be playing for such a big and established festival this year mostly because it’s one of the biggest opportunities we have had so far to be able to showcase our music in front of such a large audience, some of those who may be hearing our music for the first time. We are so grateful to have come this far in our journey and to be able to play in front of so many diverse people alongside some of the world’s most amazing international artists is really a wonderful feeling.  We’ll be showcasing most of our music from our last EP, ‘The Inside’ along with some of our new unreleased stuff, and we will also be performing a live set, with live keys which we are super stoked about.”

Other prominent artists on this year’s line-up include the likes of David Guetta, Jon Hopkins, Alesso, Axwell Ingrosso, Cashmere Cat, Chet Faker, FKA Twigs, Flying Lotus, Kimbra, Odesza, Kaytranada and What So Not to name a few.

B.R.E.E.D is a benchmark for path-breaking DJs and producers who are persistently challenging the evolution of today’s EDM forms in India and across the world. One of the busiest acts in the country, B.R.E.E.D has performed alongside a variety of international artists including Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Jon Hopkins, Alesso and significant more.
