Bengaluru will witness the magic of Boiler Room for the first time!
Bengaluru is known for its eclectic mix of music producers and now it’s time to bestow some light upon them! Budweiser x Boiler Room had its first edition in Mumbai and saw a huge success. Needless to say, they just can’t get enough of the Indian fans! For its second edition in Bengaluru, the world’s leading online music broadcaster will host What’s Brewing In…Bengaluru on April 7th, for the first time in the city.
Bigger and better than ever, a special b2b spectacle headlines the show, featuring the founders of audiovisual collective Fractal Fantasy –Zora Jones and Sinjin Hawke. The event also includes Jlin with choreographer Avril Stormy Unger as well as Indian producers Kumail and Aerate Sound!
Jlin is one of electronic music’s key movers and shakers along with Bangalore’s own Avril Stormy Unger. Experimental electronica producer Kumail, and Bangalore-based duo Aerate Sound consisting of Joe Panicker and Naquash will also play and get your body moving to the beats of fun!
Internet-based documenter of underground music, Budweiser x Boiler Room What’s Brewing… is a global event series that seeks to tell the story of music scenes around the globe. Indian music lovers had a taste of this event for the first time, in December 2016 at Mumbai and now we see it becoming a tradition. Last year, the event played host to British music sensation Actress, along with Indian electronica producer Sandunes, Bangalore-based multi-instrumentalist Oceantied, and downtempo act _RHL.
Kartikeya Sharma, Marketing Director, AB InBev, India & South East Asia, said, “Budweiser is committed towards bringing authentic music platforms to India. By bringing the second edition of Boiler Room in Bengaluru, we would like to facilitate music lovers to a liberating and truly authentic musical experience which completely resonates with the brand. Boiler Room serves a very niche segment of audience. Despite this, the debut edition in Mumbai last year was a great success. This year, we want to introduce this unique genre of music to other cities in India and Bengaluru serves as a perfect city to kickstart this in 2017 considering its international stature. . We hope the second edition recreates the success story.”
Boiler Room has been a window into the underground music scenes and has witnessed UK’s bass culture, then Berlin’s thriving techno community and underground American hip-hop in the United States.
