Budweiser presents Electric Daisy Carnival India is making their debut this month! The Sherp has curated a budget for everyone who is heading over to Delhi on the 12th and 13th November!

Ever since Pasquale Rotella dropped news that India would be getting their very own version of the world-famous Electric Daisy Carnival, people have been going cray-cray for the Insomniac venture to enter India. Their expectations were met when it was announced that EDC would indeed happen in India! The Vegas-style international venture, which boasts of some spectacularly magnificent stage designs and top-notch production quality, will finally make its debut in Delhi at the Buddh International Circuit on the 12th and 13th of November, 2016!

The line-up, curated by the festival organisers, is nothing short of mind-blowing! The roster features some big names like Alesso, Steve Aoki, Tommy Trash, Vini Vici and Yellow Claw. One of the biggest standouts on the line-up is the emphasis on some of the biggest and upcoming names in the Indian dance music industry as well. They’ve made sure to include artists like Nucleya, Pearl, Lost Stories and many more.

Given the fact that a lot of you guys will be travelling to Delhi from other cities, we thought it would be best to give you a run-down of how to get there and not burn a hole in your pocket! The dates we have taken into consideration are from 11th to 14th November.

2. Snagging the best flight fares to Delhi!

We did a quick check on Skyscanner for the current round trip flights from the major cities in India to Delhi. If you’re travelling from major metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru or Pune, the current round trip flight costs are somewhere around INR 9,000 and INR 10,000 approximately. Based on your location, you can check the flights on Skyscanner for the best and affordable prices available!

2. Festival Tickets

The Early Bird passes for Budweiser presents EDC India have already sold out, but you still have pocket friendly options for the two-day festival! You could either opt for a two-day pass which is for INR 4,500 or you could choose a single day event pass which is for INR 2,750. 3. Finding a place to stay

The Buddh International Circuit, which is the venue for Budweiser presents EDC India, is almost an hour and a half drive away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The closest area, which would be ideal to stay at to minimise the travel to the venue, would be in Noida or Greater Noida. There are plenty of comfortable stay options in Noida with housing services like Airbnb and OYO rooms as well. Rooms are available on a private or shared room basis according to your preference.

OYO rooms will provide you with all the basic amenities like Wi-Fi, TV and air-conditioning. OYO rooms will send you back approximately INR 1,500 a night which would add up to INR 4,500 for three nights. Most of the rooms OYO provides are in the Noida section. The venue would be a 40 minute drive from there, which is convenient. With Airbnb, you might have to shell out a bit more and that probably wouldn’t be too affordable.

4. Festival Shuttle

You definitely don’t want to be involved in the hassles of finding parking or getting stuck in traffic and missing out on your favourite acts. The organisers at Budweiser presents EDC India have kept your woes in mind and are going to ply shuttle services from three different pick up points for you to get to the venue conveniently. The shuttles will be plying from Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon. They will drop you to the venue and you can opt for a drop back to the same point as well after the day ends.

Price: INR 300 – INR 1,000

5. Managing your F&B expenditure

Delhi is known for its brilliant food options, right from multi cuisine options in Hauz Khas to Lajpath Nagar for street food. Given that you’ll be drinking and eating a little inside the festival itself, it would be safe to assume that you would spend somewhere around INR 2,000 a day inside the festival. Couple that with all the other meals you’ll have outside the festival. So it’s safe to say that you’ll have to set aside at least INR 8,000 for the 4 days you’ll be in Delhi!

 6. Final Round-Up

Taking into consideration all the above points, the total for your Budweiser presents EDC India experience would be: INR 10,000(Return Flight) + INR 4,500 (Festival Tickets) + INR 1,000(Shuttle Services) + INR 4,500 (Stay) + INR 8,000 (F&B) = INR 28,000 (taxes if applicable).

Make sure to keep in mind the miscellaneous costs that you might incur while sight-seeing, shopping or indulging in other such activities.

The Sherp wishes you a safe and happy journey!
