The worldโs first ever 3D music festival is coming your way this November.
The generic music festival has just advanced to a higher level of entertainment. Visual effects have become the most vital element at a concert/music festival. One cannot imagine a show without the enhancing visual experience that has become a must in todayโs industry.
But whatโs the next step in the future of music festivals? Itโs 3D. Taking place on November 1st at theย Dunkinโ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island (USA), concert-goers will be much more than idle partakers. Instead, once the glasses go on, their senses will be immersed in the 3D visuals surrounding the stage transforming them from an audience into participants.
The 3DM concept employs the power of multiple screens secured above and all around a concert venue, such that the intensity of a light show literally envelops the room. Imagine the experience of being in a dance club as onstage DJs rock the house, with lights swirling and pulsatingโonly in this incarnation, three-dimensional visuals from a staggering hundreds of LED light panels transform the night into a seeming live-action geometric kaleidoscope of catapulting, chatoyant, flashing full-color lights that literally permeate the audience.
Co-founder Simon Dursunian captures the spirit perfectly,
โdance music is unity; everybody is experiencing the lights and the sounds in a connected vibe. The audience becomes one. Meshing the music, the dancing, the crowd and the visuals is going to be a mind-bending journey. This is the next big thing for the community.โ
The arena will sport massive LED panels to enhance the visuals. The panels will be both above and surrounding the sides of the 3D area. This creates a whole environment around you. The venue will still have your traditional DJ atop a booth on stage. The user will wear 3D glasses and be immersed in an environment like no other.
