The band is getting together for a very important performance in deed.

Audioslave disbanded in 2007 leaving fans disheartened but after twelve years since their last performance together, the rocks are all set to get back on stage as a part of the Anti Inaugural Ball taking place on the 20th of January.

The alternative rock group with members such as Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk will reunite after their last performance in 2005 at the Los Angeles Teragram Ballroom with other bands like Jack Black, Jackson Browne, Vic Mensa and the Los Angeles Freedom Choir and Wilk’s other group Prophets of Rage.

The band gave an official statement saying, “The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance. Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation. Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump. We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act NOW, unless we fight back NOW. We intend to create β€˜No Trump Zones’ across the country; in our homes, our schools, our places of work, and our concert stages. Bad Presidents make for great music. Join us as we get loud and stand together to defend our rights, our country, and our planet.”

We can’t believe that this reunion is the best thing to come out of Trump’s election. Well, at least they’re back!
