Asia gets an electronicย kick!

After rocking it in the party town of Las Vegas as well as our very own country, India, the epic Electric Daisy Carnival is all set to hit the stunning land of Japan in just a few months.

The festival will be making its way to the country for the first time ever in what we can only anticipate will be a grand inaugural. Scheduled to take place on the weekend of April 29th and 30th, the event will showcase a global roster of musicians from all over the world. Electronic music being the prime focus of this festival, the audience will get to witness the best of the best EDM talent there is!

Announced by Insomniac and partners GMO Internet Group yesterday, the official line-up will feature top-class EDM pro’s including Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Duke Dumont, Galantis, Kaskade, Marshmello, Martin Garrix and Zedd. What’s cool is that this two-day festival will transform Japan’s spectacular Zozo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Beach into a dynamic beach show that’s set to excite music lovers inย the country. With four of Insomniac’s iconic stages showcasing the kings of EDM, one can only imagine the treat the Japanese electronic music fans are in for.

Determined to spread electronic music to different parts of the world, EDC Japan will beย the festival’s fifth international destination. With this global expansion, the organisers are giving Asian audiences a chance to witness industry-leading productions and stirring creative skills that has contributed to making EDC the world phenomenon that it is. The goal of the festival is to put up a show representing every genre of global dance music with versatile performers of each style. Heavyweights like Nicole Moudaber, Seven Lions, Fatboy Slim, Cut Snake, Gryffinย andย Dubfire will all take the stage.

Exclusive surprise! Keep grooving all night long as this event will feature a brand new Boombox Art Car, exclusively designed for EDC Japan! The glimmering water of Toyko Bay and the twinkling of the city’s skyline will give festival goers a unique feeling for sure! The kinetic CATHEDRAL stage will feature at EDC Japan after making its debut at EDC Las Vegas in 2014 and then going on to capture fans at New York, Orlando, UK, Brazil, Mexico and India. Fans inside the Zozo Marine Baseball Stadium will be engulfed in the immersive experience of a re-imagined version of the stage, as the stadium comes to life with hundreds of lights, two towering towers and colourful flames.

Camp lovers will be happy to know that the neonGARDEN stageย will be taking over the stunning venue of the Makuhari Plaza. If creative sets fascinate you, this festival will feature innovative sets over the oceanfront for shows near the colossal circuitGROUNDS structure.

Special guests have a special treat too! The VIP SkyDeck will give VIP ticket holders a chance to dance the night away in style while enjoying an elevated view of the kineticFIELDS along with premium amenities and fun activities. Signature decor and playful performers in cool costumes will give headliners a treat that’s characteristic to EDC and contributes towards makingย it an unforgettable experience.

Two-day general admission passes for the first-ever EDC Japan are priced atย ยฅ26,000, while VIP tickets are currently at ยฅ60,000.ย Single-day passes are also available with general admission tickets priced atย ยฅ14,000ย per day, and VIP tickets offered atย ยฅ33,000 per day.ย All presale ticket types can be purchasedย hereย untilย Monday, February 6th.
