The third edition of Nariyal Paani is set in the scenic beauty of a place that’s just a short boat ride away from Mumbai. Exclusive to the T! Walk the secluded shores of Alibaug’s Morapada beach, just 20 minutes from Mandwa Jetty, as you explore this fascinating festival.

Start your journey with a melodic trip aboard the special ‘Nariyal Paani Boat’ as Neel Adhikari (of Neel & The Lightbulbs) will be playing a live acoustic-electro set, along with Zico, as you sail away to the stunning destination. This special ‘Nariyal Paani Boat’ will leave Gateway for Mandwa Jetty at 11:30 am sharp on the 21st. The boat ride is free but it’s also on first-come first-serve basis, so be sure to not miss it.

Once you disembark, you will be greeted by some gorgeous decor that reflects Nariyal Paani’s free-spirited bohemian energy. What’s more, the decor will be made entirely from organic and recycled materials that are in tandem with the festival’s green vibe.

However, if you are just waiting to run and drop your heavy bags somewhere, then look no further than the White Collar Hippie campsite. This place emits a vibe that celebrates the calm, peaceful environment that you have just been transported into. For those excited people who are just waiting to get their groove on, the campsite promises to host a variety of games and activities.

Don’t be surprised to walk into a bunch of health freaks practicing yoga that will be organised by the Yoga House at their special yoga corner! Joining them would be the best way to start the festival.

One of the stalls, LataSita, will even create a colourful and playful installation from vintage saris! Talk about commitment!

At such a tranquil place, the only eye sore would be plastic bags strewn all over the place. But fret not, because the festival organisers have ensured that the stall owners sign agreements, making sure they ‘Say No To Plastic’ in any form whatsoever. However, make sure to not bring any plastic bags from your city and deposit them here! There is also an agency that has come aboard to help with waste management, making sure no wet waste and recyclables are mixed.

As you continue on your walk through the festival, you might just stop in your tracks at the wish tree that has been set up by SmallChange.ngo. Small Change is an online portal that raises funds for NGOs dedicated to causes such as educating the girl child, protecting the environment and anti-trafficking amongst many others. Choose from the wishes and donate to a cause you care about.

Surely all that walking, exercising, and even relaxing will make you hungry at some point. So make sure to enjoy a delicious barbecue by the beach as Woodside Inn will have the grill going all evening! While you are at it, sip on some signature Nariyal Paani cocktails or some craft beers from Gateway Brewery. If Asian flavour is what you crave, Eastside Story is the place to be. Taco lovers can head on over to The Mexican Truck. Single-estate coffee from The Indian Bean or may be fresh gelato from Oro Gelato is what you need to try for sure. If all that’s not your scene, bite into freshly baked Pão de queijo (gluten free Brazilian cheese bread) with flavoured butters from Bombar.
