We’re in the middle of summer and the festival season in the USA shows no signs of slowing down. The Sherp rounds up the festivals to hoot for this week!
While the UK has Glastonbury this weekend, America’s not too far behind with a great, eclectic mix of festivals. Pick yours!
1. Summerfest
Where: Milwaukee, MI
When: June 24 to July 5
Spread across eleven days, Summerfest is a music festival extravaganza like no other. With an enviable lineup, and a great programming schedule, Summerfest is right up there with some of the biggest festivals of the year. Set on the shores of Michigan Lake and featuring acts by Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon, Keith Urban, Linkin Park, Kendrick Lamar, The Avett Brothers, Ed Sheeran, along with a great display of stalls, food vendors, and a bunch of activities, this is a mega event you want to be a part of.

2. Electric Forest
Where: Rothbury, MI
When: June 25 to 28
As the name suggests, Electric Forest is your leeway into experiencing the natural space in a transformative manner, with some electronic music to boot. It features line-up names like Shpongle, Gramatik, Flume, Four Tet, Lido, ODESZA, The Motet, to name a few. But along with this, the festival also promises an earthy, rooted experience, with several nature-based activities, along with their affinity to conserve the wild.

3. Paradiso Festival
Where: George, WA
When: June 26 to 27
After Sasquatch!, it’s time for another musical experience that will take you to the glorious natural amphitheatre, The George, except this time, you have some of the best electronic music for company. Binge on the affirmative environment as you take in music of that brilliant line-up featuring heavyweights like Armin Van Buuren, Amtrac, Botnek, Dyro, Knife Party, Martin Garrix and Skrillex, among several others.

4. Big Barrel Country Music Festival
Where: Dover, DE
When: June 26 to 28
Big Barrel Country Music Festival represents some good ol’ American way to kick back and relax. With the festival, you can soak in some sweet country music by Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Eric Paslay, among others, as you ‘pop open a cold one’. Taking place in the picturesque The Woodlands of Dover International, it represents just the true country vibe.

5. FarmBorough
Where: New York, NY
When: June 26 to 28
New York will see itself revamp into a country music backyard with the FarmBorough Festival this weekend. Featuring country sweethearts Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch and Chris Stapleton, among an impressively chalked out line-up, along with several fun-filled community activities, the festival’s the homely New York experience.
