The Taj Literature Festival is back for its third edition!
This year the festival will be tightly curated and (in a unique step) has absolutely no theme this year.Β “This year we do not have any theme because there is a very varied interest. So, we have accommodated 16 different categories ranging from music, theatre, politics, women cooking and comedy among others, so that nobody can complain that there is nothing for them,” Harvijay Singh Bahia, founder of the festival said. The festival is slated to be held atΒ Hotel Clarks Shiraz, Agra,Β from February 26 to 28.
The Taj Literature Festival, February 2016 aims to provide the backdrop against which literature, young and old, local, national and international can walk hand in hand. The festival will be gracedΒ by chefΒ Maria Goretti, film maker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Saeed Mirza, M.J.Akbar, Bina Ramani, Khaled Mohammed, Christopher Doyle and more.
William Darlymple will present his “White Moghuls,” while Farukh Sheikh and Shabana Azmi will stage a performance of “Tumhari Amrita.” Rabindranath Tagore andΒ the Great Nawab of Pataudi, will be remebered in events with Prayag Shukla, Sharmila Tagore and Suresh Menon.
