The largest music festival in Asia is calling out to you. Sunburn Goa is back for its 9th edition on December 27-30, and we can think of hundreds of reasons why it’s going to be an experience you won’t forget. Here are 10 of them:

1. It’s happening in Goa

This one’s a no-brainer. Any festival in sunny Goa is bound to be fun, but the weather in December is impeccable. That, combined with the fact that it’s going to an absolutely epic 4-day bash on the shores of Vagator beach against the backdrop of the ocean, takes the experience at Sunburn to a whole other level altogether. Although the festival has always been in Goa, this year it has absolutely everything- from a fan village to 40+ experience zones!

2. There’s going to be camping

For the first time ever, Sunburn has introduced camping as part of the festival. Describing it as “the most electric way to experience the biggest EDM festival in Asia”, Sunburn is actually giving you an opportunity to not just dance and listen to music with fellow dance music lovers, but also stay with them for four nights under starry Goa skies.

3. Seven massive stages

Last year, Sunburn Goa featured five epic stages, and this time they’ve amped it up. There are going to be seven stages this year, and they’re definitely going to be better than last time! The extravagant, futuristic stages will feature artists based on genre and style. We hope to see the return of stages at the scale of Dancetemple, Cubezoid, Hero Space Station and Space Jungle. This year’s mainstage promises to outdo itself yet again!

4. Massive production

Each of the seven stages will have its own creative concept and technological innovations. Some of the ace production design teams from around the world are coming together to create the larger-than-life experience for people at the festival. Stages, sound lights and special effects will be some of the best in the world, catering differently to different styles like trance, house, electro, techno, drum & bass, psychedelic, experimental.

5. The four amazing headliners

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Kygo, Martin Garrix and David Guetta are playing at Sunburn this year, and you probably couldn’t ask for a better set of headliners. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are now probably two of the most popular artists in the world of electronic music, and Kygo is now one of the best known and best loved artists of his genre called ‘tropical house’ . Martin Garrix is headlining the mainstage after a phenomenal year in dance music, and David Guetta is, well David Guetta!

6. Seth Troxler is coming to India for the first time!

Techno maven and American DJ/producer, Seth Troxler has garnered much of a following in the last couple of years. From being a intriguing newbie in the scene to a self-anointed spokesperson of the underground electronic scene, Troxler has come a long way in a short amount of time. His set at Sunburn will definitely be worth it. You can listen to some of his music here and his latest collaboration with Phil Moffa “Blue Rawls” here.

7. Electronica genius Kygo is playing at the festival

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, better known by his stage name Kygo, is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. He first shot to international fame with his remix of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”. With a music style that can be classified as tropical house, deep house and downtempo electronica, Kygo is now one of the best known and best loved artists of his genre. In the last few years, he has headlined a number of major festivals, and has influenced many with his extremely distinctive style of production.

8. The rest of the star-studded lineup

The Sunburn 2015 lineup is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to variety in sub-genre. Some of the biggest names from a variety of styles, including people like KSHMR, Dyro, Bass Jackers, Shaan, Art Department, Tube & Berger, Paco, Liquid Soul, Desert Dwellers, and a number of others. There’s going to be something for everyone!

9. 40+ experience zones

If you want to take a break from the craziness of the festival, Sunburn Cruises are the perfect way to chill and catch the sunset. There are helicopter rides for you to get a breathtaking aerial view of the activity at the venue, a Ferris Wheel and even a Dream Wall for sticky notes. There’s Bungee Jumping, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Open Library, Movie Theatre, Tattoo Making, Art Village, Volley Ball, Football, Stilt Walkers, Go Pros, Spider Cam, Performers-Fire Acts, Jugglers and the list of activities goes on!

10. Scintillating afterparties

After a whole night of amazing music, you’re going to be spoilt for choice with multiple afterparties to choose from. Especially since the venue is smack dab in the middle of North Goa. These after dark parties might also feature surprise sets from your favourite artists in a more intimate environment, so be prepared!
