Tennesee’s Favorite Indie Festival Announces 2015 Dates

After returning this year following a three-year hiatus, the festival announces a blistering 2015 line-up featuring Max Richter, Grouper, Laurie Anderson, Swans and many others

Amidst the hectic electronic music schedule that has enveloped the United States over the past year, there have been some absolute gold, independent music gathering that have also produced line-ups worth shelling out dough for.

The Big Ears Festival revealed their initial 2015 lineup this past Tuesday. The 2015 festival takes place March 27-29 in downtown Knoxville. The festival started in 2009, but stopped after one year due to scheduling conflicts.

Kronos Quartet will serve as the festival’s artists-in-residence and perform several sets over the course of the weekend, including an on-stage collaboration with Laurie Anderson, Wilco’s Nels Cline, The National’s Bryce Dessner, and Polaris Music Prize winner Tanya Tagaq.
