Sherp’s Playlist: Debut Albums To Collaborations!

This week we saw a lot of variety in music.

The week was welcomed by Drake‘s new playlist; Zara Larrson had her first international release with her album; Depeche Mode, Pitbull and Rick Ross are back with their albums too and some songs have us going berserk with euphoria. The excitement is real with Linkin Parks new single and the beats are groove worthy! So let’s dive into the music with the top ten new songs of the week!

1. Drake – Passionfruit

More Life: A Playlist by October Firm is a debut playlist by Drake and was released on March 18th, 2017.  The production of this playlist was done by many high profile producers and it features many guests. It’s probably the best thing to come out of this week!

2. Zara Larsson –  What They Say 

“So Good” is a debut international album by the Swedish songstress Zara Larsson and after a much delayed release, it is finally here! Some of the songs will make you dance like crazy and others are soulful ballads. “What They Say” starts with sugar coated vocals and escalates into a fast paced rhythm which motivates you to keep going!

3. Clean Bandit – Symphony ft. Zara Larsson

Clean Bandit’s “Symphony” with Zara Larsson is breaking hearts and spilling tears throughout the world with its honest lyrics and breathtakingly good vocals by Zara. The 19 year old singer is doing Sweden proud by all her ventures and we are just glad that Clean Bandit’s music never lets us down!

4. Depeche Mode – No More (This Is The Last Time)

The English EDM band Depeche Mode are back with revolutionary music and the album was preceded with the single “Where’s the Revolution”. The album is critically acclaimed and will be supported by the Global Spirit Tour. We picked “No More” and you have to listen to it to know why. You will be transported to a sanctum of music once you start this track.

5. Frances – Grow

“Things I’ve Never Said” is the debut studio album from BRITs Critics’ Choice nominee, Frances. The song “Grow” is to help raise awareness about domestic violence which is a collaboration with the charity ‘Refuge’. You will not hear a better song today!

6. Linkin Park-  Battle Symphony

Turn all the bad memories around and face a brand new day with a brand new attitude with Linkin Park‘s “Battle Symphony”. This song is about personal conflict and focuses on the sensation of hearing voices inside your head as if they were a symphony. This song is the second single from Linkin Park’s upcoming album, ‘One More Light’, after their attention-grabbing song, “Heavy”.

7. Machine Gun Kelly – At My Best Ft. Hailee Steinfeld

Machine Gun Kelly has been giving us back to back hits, having collaborated with the likes of Camila Cabello and Little Mix. The duo is back with a brand new collaboration, titled “At My Best”,  with none other than Hailee Steinfeld, the multi-talented singer and beauty.

8. Tinashe – Flame

Platinum selling singer, songwriter, producer and entertainer Tinashe released her brand new single “Flame”. The song will appear on her long-awaited, third studio album, ‘Joyride’, which will be released this year. As we are eagerly awaiting the album, the track is just what we need to keep the excitement going! It gives an awareness to the senses and helps you do your thing. You will definitely clap your hands and swing your hips to the beats.

9. Pitbull – Options Ft. Stephen Marley

After “Global Warming”, Pitbull has returned with a new album called “Climate Change”. This is a star-studded 12 tracks album featuring everyone from Jennifer Lopez and Ty Dolla $ign to Jason Derulo and more.

10. Rick Ross – Apple Of My Eye Ft. Raphael Saadiq

William Leonard Roberts II, known as Rick Ross, has blessed us with a new album and the force is strong with this one! The American rapper introduces us to the album with ‘Apple Of My Eye’, which features hums and horns with bold lyrics! Raphael Saadiq sounds like heaven and this song is quite a statement which you will be perplexed by, after listening to it.
