New York City is the new music festival hot-spot.
The Sherp reported earlier that AEG Live planned to host a very Coachella-like festival in New York City next June. This festival was to be called Panorama and was scheduled to take place two weeks after Governors Ball. Unsurprisingly, GovBall was not too thrilled about this and launched a petition demanding the Mayor of NYC to reject the event proposal for June 2016.

As if this wasn’t dramatic enough, Madison Square Garden has come into the picture, with eyes on the very same venue, NYC’s Flushing Meadows Corona Park. MSG recently disclosed that they wish to host an outdoor music festival at this venue. Not much is known about MSG’s alleged festival, apart from this statement:
“[I]t will celebrate quintessential New York with food and entertainment as well as music.”
Maybe GovBall will launch another petition against MSG this time. Stay tuned for more news!
